about us
margaret vaughn
Producer, Writer, Editor
Margaret has honed skills in planning, coordinating, and implementing projects while working in communications and outreach capacities for nonprofits, government agencies, research entities, and universities for more than a decade. A naturally curious person, Margaret loves that working in video production enables her to meet folks from wildly different backgrounds and to learn about their lives. She earned a BA in Sociology and Women’s Studies from UNC-Greensboro and an MPH from New York University.
Jonny Gillette
Cinematographer, Director, Editor, Writer
Since graduating from the UNC School of the Arts with a BFA in Film Direction in 2003, Jonny has worked in the film and video production world as a writer, editor, producer, director, camera operator, production designer, gaffer, location manager—if it’s a job on or off set, he’s done it! While living in New York, he co-founded a comedy troupe, POYKPAC, that went on to produce several videos that have garnered millions of views on YouTube. Although from Boulder, CO originally, Jonny feels at home in the South—mainly because of the readily available biscuits—and loves living in North Carolina. His favorite aspect of video production is constructing visually dynamic shots to bring stories to life.
What’s in a name?
Our company name originates from an exclamation that Jonny’s dad, Dale, would make whenever he was excited about something: “Hey, OK!”
Using his expression of delight and wonder in our company name is one small way to honor him and his influence.
